PacificEast started in 1990 as a research company, before there really was a "data industry", researching phone numbers for calling campaigns by sending staff out to phone booths and making directory assistance calls. In 1990 this was really the only way to find directory assistance information and making directory assistance calls from a public phone booth was free.

A lot has changed since then. We now access not only directory assistance data but many other contact repositories and data services and we do so electronically for both the US and Canada. As our product line and number of customers has grown, our team has developed processes and match logic that have cut the turnaround time dramatically while simultaneously boosting match rates and accuracy.
