Order Validation Service
PacificEast's Order Validation Service (OVS) is a web-based fraud-prevention research console. OVS
pulls together multiple data querying systems into a single interface that allows you to have
instantaneous access to the best data sets available from a single system. OVS's interface provides
access to PacificEast's real-time repositories for contact data research, but also adds additional
functionality that is not available from any of our other interactive systems.
OVS is most typically used as a primary research tool for manual order review processes because it:
- Helps you determine whether or not to stop shipment on an order
- Verifies names, addresses and telephone numbers of ship-to addresses in both the US and Canada
- Informs you if a ship-to address is a mail-drop or a freight forwarder
- Confirms if the phone number given was a cell phone or landline and whether or not it is published
- Identifies, anywhere in the world, the location of the IP address from on line orders
- Warns you if an IP address is attempting to hide its location through a web proxy or TOR server
- Provides you with the bank name and contact information for the credit card being used
- Presents all this information in a single, easy-to-use, web-based system
Because OVS is web-based, you don't have to install anything on your internal IT systems. And because
we ensure the data is up-to-date, you don't have to add any additional computer or data maintenance
tasks to your already busy schedule.
