Social Media Append
Social Media refers to internet-based repositories of self-reported social networking information.
Since this information is reported by the consumer themselves it is not appropriate for certain kinds
of applications like fraud prevention. However, because of their sheer size (in the hundreds of
millions) Social Media repositories can provide significant information about consumers and businesses
as part of a self-reported "profile".
Social Media information is always referenced by an email address. If you don't have an email address
but would like a social media append we can perform a preliminary
email append process in advance of running the social media append process.
Profile contents vary by specific site, but generally include:
- The number of followers or friends for an individual or business. We report this as a total
for all sites for which an email address has a profile
- Business or Personal Name
- Location – generally a city, state/province and country
- Current Employer
- Date of Earliest Activity
- Indication that a profile exists on any one of the 20 most common social media site
- Profile URLs for social media sites
